mind[SET] re COVID, CLIMATE CHANGE & [THE] CHALLENGES of [BE]ing [in]CONTROL
THE World Wide Web [IS] COMPLEX to the degree of requiring those Lords & Masters who are supposedly in[CONTROL] • [BE]ing AWARE of the consequences of THEIR ACTIONS of allowing HM STAFF to continue working from home, without any access to the “tools of their trade” so to speak, whilst [BE]ing exposed to the complete lack of security that the World Wide Web [IS] today exposed to on a second by second basis. Thank GOD that Tim Berners Lee has now created the basis of an alternative in the guise of SOLID and Inrupt.
Never forgetting of course, that Don E. Beck's pertinent reference to Spiral Dynamics in Action [BE]ing established as a 'metaphorical air traffic control system' • at a [TIME] when the ATM authorities around the world are struggling themselves to establish an appropriate system that will ACTUALLY WORK on the basis of "SAFETY FIRST and EXPEDITION SECOND !!!???" • [IS] in[DEED] the very model that y[OUR] Lords & Masters should [BE] urgently adopting.

The UK is gripped by the worst cost of living emergency since the 1980s, with inflation hitting 7% – and threatening to breach 9% – driven by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and supply chain disruption during the pandemic. In signs of the seriousness of the crisis, energy company chief executives intervened recently to demand MPs offer households more support – with the E.ON boss warning up to 40% of people in Britain could fall into fuel poverty after Ofgem raises the energy price cap again in October.
NEVER FORGETTING that [IT} was during my [TIME] working with Rex Beddis, on the OUP Volcano project
that in-the-know-colleagues of his, from NASA et al were even then predicting that without appropriate ACTION [BE]ing appropriately and urgently taken by the so-called Powers That [BE] • the ONLY PLACE on EARTH where growing vegetables in the ground would in[DEED] BE POSSIBLE, would [BE] The Isles of Britain, and that was over 35years ago.
THANKS be to GOD for
... and here WE ARE in July 2022 and ONLY 70 MPs and peers attended an emergency climate briefing by the UK government’s chief scientific adviser in parliament on Monday, the Guardian has learned.
The briefing, organised by the climate change all-party parliamentary group, was an updated version of the slides that the chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, showed Boris Johnson before the UN climate summit Cop26 in Glasgow in November.
Others, however, say robust talk on immigration is nothing new for a party that pioneered the hostile environment and was already trying to deport asylum seekers to Rwanda, while talk of tax cuts is almost mandatory when the Tories pick a n....
But could all this be missing the point? Some experts query whether the avalanche of hard-right policy ideas, particularly on immigration and asylum, simply show a party out of touch with a public now notably more worried by issues like the cost of living. One change does seem obvious. While the Conservatives have always had a strain of authoritarian rightwing opinion, this was balanced by a more liberal wing – one which, since Johnson became leader, has almost disappeared.
Anna Soubry, the former Conservative minister who quit the party for the ill-fated Change UK, argues that people with views like her, Kenneth Clarke, David Gauke and Dominic Grieve were once “pretty much the mainstream”.
