BUCKMINSTER FULLER WROTE OVER TWENTY BOOKS...

... as well as hundreds of articles, and thousands of hours

of speeches, and took copious volumes of notes. HERE

[ISjust a small but comprehensive sampling of the

highlights of his archive. Some of my own books were

purchased from Het Boekhuis in Sittard NL, and it was

during that [TIME] when I first became aware of and started

purchasing copies of the dezeen magazine, which I began

to follow here in the UK, following it's own launch into a

presence in cyberspace & on the internet, so to speak.

I first became aware of Fuller's Vector Equilibrium IDEA • as a geometric form, during my 6th Form Maths, Physics & Art studies • as the only geometric form where all vectors are of equal length, including from its centre point out to its circumferential vertices and the edges connecting all of those vertices, and was thus encouraged to read NINE CHAINS TO THE MOON in our splendidly equipped Grammar School Library

A Grammar School which was closed only five years after both Linnie & I left, as a result of a disastrous decision by our so-called Lords & Masters • Linnie for her own training as a radiographer & I to start my joint Civil/Military Upper Airspace Area Radar Training with the MOA/MOD • after obtaining my Private Pilot / Meteorology certification.

Quantum physically, the Vector Equilibrium represents the ultimate and perfect state in which the movement of energy comes into perfect balance
. [IT] IS also seen as the starting point of all energy and the conceptual geometry of the zero point, the vacuum of our space, and the Unified Field In Physics, equilibrium arises if the vector sum of all forces acting upon a particle or rigid body [IS] 'O' ZERO

There is nothing more difficult to carry out, nor more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to handle than to initiate new order of things. For the reformer has enemies in all who profit by the old order, and only luke-warm defenders in all those who would profit by the new order. This quality of lukewarmness arises partly from a fear of adversaries, who have the law on their side, and partly from the incredulity of mankind, who do not truly believe in anything new until they have had actual experience of it.”

ONLY when the last tree has died

and the last river been poisoned

and the last fish been caught will

  WE REALISE that ...

  WE CANNOT EAT MONEY

  BuckminsterFuller's concern with fine-tuning

communication, developing and using words that

are consistent with scientific reality, is one facet of

the role of language with respect to synergetics.

Buckminster Fuller's Comprehensive and anticipatory design initiative alone • exclusive of politics and political theory • can solve the problems of human shelter, nutrition, transportation, and pollution; and it can solve these with a fraction of the materials now inefficiently used.

Moreover, energy, ever more available, directed by cumulative information stored in computers, is
capable of synthesizing raw materials, of machining and packaging commodities, and of supplying the physical needs of [THE] total global population.

Fuller was a research professor at Southern Illinois University (Carbondale) from 1959 to 1968. In 1968 he was named university professor, in 1972 distinguished university professor, and in 1975 university professor emeritus.

Queen Elizabeth II  awarded Fuller the Royal Gold Medal for Architecture. He also received the 1968 Gold Medal Award of the National Institute of Arts and Letters.

It was of course Het Boekhuis and an account with the HEFFERS bookshop
in Cambridge, serviced by an excellent mail order process, which supplied
all of our books in English, that the Boekhuis couldn't supply, other than an
excellent range of drawing equipment, including the sketchbooks that
contain the predominance of my own artwork which I have used in cyberspace;
as well as some of my most precious books on Design.
The "Osmiroid 65" fountain pen was developed, chiefly for school children whose special needs for writing instruments had always been a matter of prime concern. A large range of nib units were made to suit right and left handed users and the several types of handwriting being taught, particular attention being paid to the Italic style.

... & so it was as a reward of merit that I received an "Osmiroid 65" fountain pen and the nuns at my primary school in the Archway, London, taught me to write in LEFT-handed italic handwriting - to the point where others took over to prepare me for my 11plus exam that gave me entrance to The Grammar School in the autumn of 1957. It was there that I first met my soul-mate Linnie and so it came to pass, 10 years later, that we were married on April 4th 1968. Linnie has since become extremely proficient in her own Italic Handwriting, as well as Calligraphy and Chinese Brush Painting.

This was further supported, from an artistic perspective, through a process of Discovering Japan, as a direct result of a year long promotion in the UK, of Japanese Art and Photography. As Carter Phipps says ...

"The blinders of local time are removed and we suddenly grasp
the extraordinary truth that we are ancient - related to ALL LIFE
and connected to the history of the cosmos itself."

WE ARE THE EVOLUTIONARIES
