Polly Higgins own deep questioning of the fundamental

assumptions of our culture have led her to even deeper questions: what further action is required to protect and conserve our Earth and to promote peace? Is the missing     link a law that holds to account our leaders? There is an omission of law here, a law endowed with the intrinsic       value of life, irrespective of any economic or other       utilitarian value we might have for human ends, a law to       end the most serious crime of concern to the international community as a whole and a law to create global justice.
