Taking a tip from Centria, whose blog is Absolutely Amazing All the time (the link is to her other blog that's not on Gaia, called Lake Superior Spirit, although her Gaia blog has always been delightful, too!) I decided to take photos during a normal day, to see whether I could capture the beauty that's always with me, but often I'm too busy to stop and see it. I thought that was a good idea, and I was outside raking leaves (our trees have just now dropped their leaves here in the desert), and I was totally bummed out about "having" to spend my day raking leaves and sweeping and so forth. I did take a couple of pictures of the leaves, but honestly they aren't anything I'd want to post. They look as boring as I thought they were when I took their picture. The front door, however, caught my imagination. I thought it was uncanny how one window would reflect whatever was going on outside, while the other window seems to allow light to penetrate to the inside, as if you could see into one of the windows, but not the other. I'd noticed that effect on the front door before, and thought it was a cool picture of introversion/extroversion. That cheered me up!
