f a [RE]lived GAIA COMMUNITY which with the most
appropriate COMPASSION, COLLABORATION & COOPERATION IN
TRANSISTION remains up and running to this day and accessible
through any internet search engine as well as BY WAY OF my utilisation
of Facebook as a SURFACE to PROJECT IDEAS of TRANSISTION •
and "WHY?" do you ask TRANSISTION • well for those that know and
no doubt understand the multi-dimensional perspective of my
right-brained, left-handed and so-called dyslexic disposition • I have
already explained my absolute respect for the brilliant IDEAS of
Leonardo da Vinci and Buckminster Fuller but from now on I wish
to dedicate this initiative of mine to THE IDEAS of he whom I would
regard as my best friend ever, because of the few conversations that
we had together during the time when he helped me to re-wire our
home extension in Boreham Wood, namely my father-in-law
Ronald Yardley, who when I asked for his daughter's hand in marriage,
exclaimed "WHY on EARTH would you want to DO THAT !!!???" • but
for some one who had built his own digital calculator and a colour
television receiver at home in a kitchen cupboard, ready to receive
the very first BBC Colour Test Signals, and was the very first person I
knew who had explained to me in-depth the purpose of using
TRANSISTORS instead of VALVES at a TIME when, as part and parcel
of a Physics 'A' level experiment, I was involved with the building of an
analogue computer/calculator at Grammar School, utilising valves •
I would dedicate the very concept of TRANSISTION to him,
particularly with respect for the kindness of the hundreds of
Post Office Staff who attended his funeral at Finchley Crematorium,
following his untimely death at 54 years of age, and the thousands of
small donations which were freely given to my soul mate's mother
Joan Yardley and the family. ALL of which for me, has underpinned and gradually evolved into that which I would refer to as...
THE SPiRALogic of a SYSTEMS MINDSET which
is driven by THE SPiRAL ART of THE POSSIBLE
rather than the avarice and greed of those who
are supposedly in perpetual control of our lives
DOING the WRONG THINGS for the wrong reasons
which have for example been thus far highlighted
by the ZATARRA Report and all that has been thus
far revealed about the likes of EPSTEIN and his
various associates, as shown in the BBC Panorama
TV showing of The Prince and the Epstein Scandal
and the very lack of action taken by the FBI, with
particular regard to the trafficking of girls across
state-borders, which [IT] was set up for in the
very first place, to support the concept of a very
singular vision of a UNITED STATES of AMERICA
and shamefully I would agree here in the UK also.

our relationships with the plants and animals and all
the other elemental presences (soils, rainclouds, rivers...) who
support and nourish us? It can only be because somehow we're
oblivious to that direct, unmediated layer of carnal exchange which
is always already going on - because we're oblivious to the bodily
level of our existence. It is my body that steadily drinks of the
oxygen breathed out by all the green and growing plants, and
my body that breathes out the carbon dioxide these plants
steadily draw upon in order to photosynthesise and flourish. It is this body, this muscled flesh that rests in intimate relationship
with the tree-trunk I’m now sitting on. From walking barefoot in the
garden or wandering through all these arroyos, my toes are well
acquainted with the life and texture of the soil. But we don't live
our body's life anymore. We live a life of abstractions, of mental
cogitations massively influenced by all of the human-made
artefacts and signals that surround us. We're incessantly reflecting
off of our own reflections. We have been taught NOT to trust our
senses, and our direct sensory experience. The senses, which are
our most instinctive animal access to the world - our eyes, our ears,
our tongue, our nostrils - these magic organs open us directly onto
the more-than-human field! Yet we’ve been taught not to trust any
of these powers; we're told that the senses lie, we're taught in
school that the senses are deceptive.

latest book, Novacene – a treatise on the future impact of Artificial Intelligence – was published last July. In it, he argues the world is moving into a new era which will be dominated by the emergence of superintelligent co... which will slowly but surely seize control of Earth from their human creators, and fuse with us into cyborgs. Far from viewing this as a sinister development which threatens a Terminator-style war between humans and machines, Lovelock offers a refreshingly upbeat view: that robots who will rule the world with our blessing and support, because they will need us just as much as we need them.
He decries our tendency to see technology as a threat, rather than a new stage in our evolutionary development – partly down to “the endless stream of stuff coming from Hollywood. It’s always ‘the cyber monsters are out to get you’. And I just think it’s time we changed that negative way of looking at things.” The rise of superintelligent computers has anyway already begun, he says, and will accelerate. “Supercomputers exist,” he smiles. “An iPhone is a supercomputer. It fits in your pocket and has wires just a few atoms thick. It could never be made by a human.”
“It’s just a short hop from where we are already to a world of cyborgs”, he says tapping his chest. “Slowly, imperceptibly we are all being dragged into a kind of mixed animal,” he says. “I’ve got a triple wire pacemaker in my heart and I’ve got hearing aids, so electronics is coming into my existence on quite a scale already.” He adds: “It’s nothing but advantage. It won’t be that there are monsters who are controlling us.”
Superintelligent machines, he adds, will help humans solve some of their most intractable problems – tackling a warming climate, providing sufficient food and resources and helping us to administer the increasingly complex urban civilisations in which we live.
They will need us to regulate the rest of the planet and perform many of the menial tasks required to keep Earth – or Gaia – in balance. Super intelligence will come to view us much like we ourselves view plants, he says.
“Plants are about a million times slower than we are, but the farmer doesn’t go out and get rid of them. We need them and it’s a good relationship. I don’t see why that shouldn’t be true with cyborgs.”
