compassion, collaboration & cooperation iN transistion

The feet always firmly on the ground ... movements

intrinsically beautiful and at the same time charged

with symbolic meaning. Thought taking shape in

ritual and stylised gesture. The body transformed

into a hieroglyph, a succession of hieroglyphs, of

attitudes modulating from significance to significance,

like a poem or a piece of music. Movements of the

muscles representing movements of the consciousness ...

It's meditation in action; the metaphysics of the

Mahayana expressed not in words, but through

   symbolic movements and gestures.

                                                                      Aldous Huxley "Island"

[IT] IS the 2nd century BC Ink-on-silk manuscript of the Tao Te Ching

to the left of the picture above, which best exemplifies for me these

words of wisdom from Ursula Le Guin RIP in A Small Dark Light ...

It is the profound modesty of the language that

offers what so many people for so many centuries

have found in this book: a pure apprehension of

the mystery of which we are part.”

TAO begot ONE - Silence within, laughter without and forever a smile

on your face - reflecting from without & transmitting from within,

the everlasting light - which emanates from the splitting of kindling

wood and the lifting of a stone - & which fills the cup of life once

   emptied.

The TAO that can be told is not the eternal TAO

The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the beginning of heaven & earth.
The named is the mother of 10,000 things.
Ever desireless, one can see the mystery.
Ever desiring, one can see the manifestations.

These two spring from the same source but differ in name
...

this appears as darkness. Darkness within darkness.

     The gate to ALL mystery.
