ies, we sit down with some of today's most notable thinkers, teachers, and leaders, discussing the many ways they are catalyzing the Integral vision in their lives, in their hearts, and in their work.
Don Edward Beck, Ph.D., is Co-founder of The National Values Center in Denton, Texas, and President and CEO of The Spiral Dynamics Group, Inc. Beck co-authored The Crucible: Forging South Africa's Future (with Graham Linscott, l991) and Spiral Dynamics: Mastering Values, Leadership & Change (with Christopher Cowan, l996). He also writes a "Sports Values" column for the Dallas Morning News and appears often in the media regarding issues related to values, sports, and racial divides.
Here Don offers an intimate glimpse into his own life and career. He discusses the current phase of his work: traveling the world and applying Spiral Dynamics to various geo-political "hotspots" all over the planet. He offers his own ideas about healthy models of society, the crucial distinction between stages of consciousness and the contents of those stages, and the importance of preserving many of the early stages of development that are so often seen as primitive and obsolete. He then goes into considerable depth around the specifics of the Palestine-Israel conflict, describing the needs and problems on both sides of the divide, his hands-on involvement with both nations, and the remarkable receptivity with which his work has been met. At a time when tensions in the Middle East can seem so hopelessly combustible, it is encouraging to see Integral seeds being planted in such surprisingly fertile soil, offering us all a much-needed exhale as we wait to see how evolution will continue playing itself out in this difficult region of the world.

he process, but this time with the information about the nature of mindsets, value systems and changeability, what kinds of leadership models produce what kinds of effects and what needs to be done. Once again, it is deep pragmatism. It’s a new day and we are trying to extend Madiba magic into the next generation.
You see most people who even look at Graves’ work don’t pay any attention to what may be the major piece of it. It’s not in the color codes of value systems; those are critical. But what is important is the change dynamic. How does change happen? Rather than the very naïve notion that anybody can change anybody to become anything – which is absurd – there are processes that over time can begin to sink into a culture and it roll out along different value system lines. That’s what we are doing.

SA and Israel voting AGAINST any kind of seat at the
United Nations for the Palestinians - let alone one which would allow them any kind of say in the
future of a NEW Palestine - and to cop it all the laissez-faire attitude of the Palestinians UN Envoy,
Tony Blair, BEING altogether disruptive of any kind of long lasting peace agreement between
the TWO NATIONS !!!
IS there any wonder that Peter Osborne has recently stated -
It’s easy to see what the former Labour prime minister gets out of his
role as Middle East envoy, but harder to see what he gives back

be a better way.” Don E. Beck
Never forgetting that [IT] was R. BUCKMINSTER FULLER who wrote the following in his exemplary plan for the future entitled Utopia or Oblivion • Prospects for HUMANITY
“To make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone • ALL of humanity now has the option to “make it” successfully and sustainably, by virtue of our having minds, discovering principles and being able to employ these principles to do more with less”Said E. Dawlabani is a leading authority on the application of value systems to large scale change. A writer and public speaker specializing in the Gravesian approach to psychosocial development and evolutionary systems. He was named one of the world’s boldest thought leaders in 2019. The author of MEMEnomics, The Next-Generation Economic System. His writings in the field of finance have been compared to those of Warren Buffet and Ray Dalio. His work has been translated to Korean, Mandarin, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. He has given keynote speeches on sustainable and regenerative economics in many parts of the world. Since 2018 he has turned his attention to the application of the Gravesian model to climate change and the economics of the Anthropocene.Dawlabani is the founder of The Memenomics Group. Since 2004, he has worked closely with renowned geopolitical adviser Dr. Don E. Beck, Graves’ successor and one of the architects behind South Africa’s transition from Apartheid and co-author of Spiral Dynamics, the most authoritative theory on value systems and change. Before teaming up with Beck, Dawlabani had a prominent career in the real estate industry. He is a prolific blogger and a contributor to The Huffington Post, Medium, the Integral Leadership Review, Kosmos Journal and other publications. His work is featured in the Leader to Leader Journal, Newsweek and The Christian Science Monitor and on NPR, PRN, and Voice of America. his bio-psycho-social-spiritual map of living systems charts the evolution and emergence of human development, both individually and collectively, and provides a comprehensive global overview that helps to explain the perplexing and daunting predicaments that we human beings currently find ourselves in.
In his role that extends far beyond that of mapmaker extraordinaire, Beck shows the way toward macro-scale geopolitical transformation, offering integral solutions that are ecological, systemic, life-affirming, and elegantly logical. He played a major role behind the scenes in the design of post apartheid South Africa, and is currently guiding creative solutions in other hot spots around the globe.
Beck is the founder and owner of both the international Institute of Values and Culture and The Spiral Dynamics Group. He is a professor at the Adizes Graduate School in California, a founding associate of Ken Wilber’s Integral Institute, and an adjunct with the Arlington Institute. He is also a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Society for Training and Development, the International Paleopsychology Project, and a fellow at the George Gallup Institute at Princeton.

using the same level of thinking that created them." In order to take this next Momentous Leap in human evolution, "it's critical that we find the cartographers of consciousness, and the mapmakers of the terrain". And as Scandinavia is one of the regions centred on the tipping point to second tier, it's within our potential take on this challenge, "to provide for the rest of the world the kinds of models that the world needs." Don Beck quoting Einstein
IT was the British who first established an Air Traffic Control system following the use of an elementary form of radar during WWII. I was one of the first Air Traffic Controllers, to be selected from Grammar School, who qualified in 1967 with a pilot's licence, ATC Aerodrome, Approach, Approach Radar, Area, Area Radar (joint civil/military) and meteorological certifications to my credit. The cost of all of this to the taxpayer, at the time, was enormous, but boy did it give me, as a 3 dimensional thinking, left-handed so-called dyslexic, an unprecedented opportunity to truly understand the ramifications of social and cultural, common-sense mindsets, on the consequences of consequences of complex systems. Unfortunately, because of the cost, ATCOs have no longer been trained as such, for a very long time - in no dis-similar manner than commercial pilots have been required to fund their own training.
So methinks [IS] there any wonder therefore that Don Beck once suggested that a global Spiral Dynamics Integral Solution should be based on the well and truly tested system of Global Air Traffic Control, which was established following the Grand Canyon Collision of 2 commercial airliners !!!???
