Who are you that they love you...

With all their heart and soul...

Yet they won’t lift a finger...

To help a beggar cross the road...

Who are you that they buy you statues...

And give you gifts of gold...

Then put their loved ones in a home...

When they have grown to old...

Who are you that they pray for hours...

While their own neighbors starve...

Looking down on the hungry that steal...

Throwing them behind bars...

Who are you that they sing you songs...

Giving you all their praise...

A little child is thirsty and dirty...

Down the road a ways...

Who are you that they humbly bow...

Yet they raise their gun to kill...

Those that don’t believe in you...

That refuse to ever kneel...

Who are you that they love so much...

An invisible entity...

Yet a human being standing here...

They never ever see...

Please tell me what you’ve ever done...

To deserve a love so true...

That they would turn their backs on many...

Tell me, who are you?
