was originally released in 1976 on Private Stock Records. The first single
"X-Offender" was originally entitled "Sex Offender" but since radio stations would not play a song with such a controversial title, the band renamed the song.
Bassist -GaryValentineLachman - originally wrote the song about an 18-year-old boy being arrested for having sex with his younger girlfriend. Debbie Harry changed the lyrics so that the song was about a prostitute being attracted to the police officer that had arrested her.
Since then Lachman has become an authority on various occult and esoteric subjects. He is a prolific author and has written a number of books about music and the occult, as well as articles for magazines like the Fortean Times and Mojo. He also writes reviews for magazines and papers like The Guardian, The Times Literary Supplement and The Independent. Lachman also gives talks on his specialist subject areas and has, for example, appeared a number of times at UnCon.
Lachman was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006
