So it was on the day that having first been introduced to the concept of Systems Analysis on an IBM 64K Mainframe during my training as an Upper Airspace Area Radar Controller, I provided a demonstration of the Technology behind the Volcano Videodisc Project, which as it happens was the self same early development technology which Tim Berners Lee later utilised for creating the HyperText Transition Protocol on which the launch and development of the INTERNET is based. aspect of Large Format Desk Top Printing and publishing. I even
supplied a custom designed system to Oxford University Press, for
the purpose of creating a digital archive of every piece of hand drawn
multi-colour artwork ever created by OUP.

ndparents, however, ensured that I didn't even realise that I was dyslexic, until my meeting with the female dyslexic designer of the first Silicon Graphics desk-top 3D cad-cam system in the USA. [IT] was she who told me about the dyslexic Thomas West and his book In the Mind's Eye, which resulted in my involvement with an exhibition of the works of dyslexic artists at the Mall Galleries.
The birth of Leonardo coincided with that of the printing press, and [IT] was of course Oxford University Press [OUP], who established their own, and published their very first book in 1478, just two years after Caxton set up the first printing press in England. Track forward several centuries, and following an invite by Nuneham Ladies College in Cambridge to demonstrate my first BBC Micro based Interactive Multimedia system, two senior members of OUP invited me to come and work as a consultant to Rex Beddis, who was the author of the Sense of Place Series three-book course for lower secondary school.

to OUP for the research and development of the Volcano Videodisc
Project, the potential transfer of the OED onto CD-ROM and then
following the subsequent European launch of the DiceNET Colour
Server System, the supply of a customised bespoke system to be able
to transfer the massive archive of OUP Hand-produced Multi-
Coloured Artwork into a computer accessible Library of Digital
Images, which was installed into a basement room adjacent to where
the very first version of an OUP Printing Press was originally installed
and marked with a brass plaque in the floor.
