y blazed a trail toward freedom.
Yes we can.
It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.
Yes we can.
It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballots; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.
Yes we can to justice and equality.
Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.
Yes we can heal this nation.
Yes we can repair this world.
Yes we can.
We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics...they will only grow louder and more dissonant ........... We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.
Now the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea --
Yes. We. Can.

nt to push the boundaries of our own spiritual development need to discover.
We have to find a way to meet one another in a place we've never been before, in a higher state of consciousness and a higher stage of development that are unhindered by the influence of the narcissistic ego and the less enlightened values of our modern and postmodern culture.
Anyone can experience egoless consciousness in the stillness and solitude of deep meditation. It is easy to be egoless when there's no relationship.
But if we want to catalyze evolution in consciousness and culture, in the world of time and space, we need to make the heroic effort to go beyond ego not only when we are sitting quietly but, most importantly, while we are creatively interacting with one another, in the midst of all the complexity of human life.

LOOKING OUT LOOKING IN

Taking a tip from Centria, whose blog is Absolutely Amazing All the time (the link is to her other blog that's not on Gaia, called Lake Superior Spirit, although her Gaia blog has always been delightful, too!) I decided to take photos during a normal day, to see whether I could capture the beauty that's always with me, but often I'm too busy to stop and see it. I thought that was a good idea, and I was outside raking leaves (our trees have just now dropped their leaves here in the desert), and I was totally bummed out about "having" to spend my day raking leaves and sweeping and so forth. I did take a couple of pictures of the leaves, but honestly they aren't anything I'd want to post. They look as boring as I thought they were when I took their picture. The front door, however, caught my imagination. I thought it was uncanny how one window would reflect whatever was going on outside, while the other window seems to allow light to penetrate to the inside, as if you could see into one of the windows, but not the other. I'd noticed that effect on the front door before, and thought it was a cool picture of introversion/extroversion. That cheered me up!

have become louder, more authoritative and part of mainstream debate. Pressure for the introduction – or reintroduction – of this crucial split could soon become irresistible, however much the politicians wiggle and the investment bankers deceive.Liam Halligan goes on to say - Until now, it’s been mainly nerds like me who have advocated a full Glass-Steagall separation. Given the vested interests that would lose from this change, we’ve been lampooned for our “hot-headed” views.
Ever since the sub-prime crisis began in the spring of 2007, most British political leaders and regulators have resisted serious banking reform.
Sir John Vickers’ measures, years in the making, have now been exposed for what they are – an elegant political compromise, with not a chance of reining in London’s rapacious investment banking culture, so all but guaranteeing another crisis a few years down the line.
While hopelessly weak in and of themselves, even Vickers’ proposals, imposing a “firewall” between investment and commercial banking, rather than a full institutional split, have been watered down by the Government. Legislation implementing Vickers has yet to be passed and, anyway, won’t come fully into effect until 2019.
As one of those nerds all I can say is BRAVO and ALL hail to Liam Halligan -
for this excellent piece of logical & rational common-sense.

It is shown that the quantum non-locality capable of solving the
Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox represents one of the most
adequate physical mechanisms in terms of conformity with the
Jung’s synchronicity hypothesis. An attempt is made on psychophysiological substantiation of
synchronicity within the context of molecular biology. An original
concept is proposed, stating that biologicalmolecules involved in
cell division during mitosis and meiosis, particularly DNA may be
considered material carriers of consciousness. This assumption may
be formulated on the basis of phenomenology of Jung’s analytical
psychology.
