<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">The affinity that my own extended family has with <em><strong>the trade in fabric twixt</strong></em> <strong><a href="http://letschangetheworld.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=5313775%3ABlogPost%3A36625&commentId=5313775%3AComment%3A36730" target="_blank" rel="noopener">North Norfolk</a></strong> and <strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/michael.grove.98/media_set?set=a.718625211499066&type=3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bruges</a></strong>, extends over many centuries to the present day, with respect to the movement of precious artefacts between England and the European sub-continent of Asia and <strong><a href="https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy-editorial-3-major-misconceptions-jan-van-eycks-enigmatic-arnolfini-portrait" target="_blank" rel="noopener">vice versa</a></strong>. As someone who had been born to a very rich family in Yorkshire, who suffered bankruptcy in 1929-33, and had to move south to North London, <strong><a href="http://letschangetheworld.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-mother-that-bore" target="_blank" rel="noopener">my mother</a></strong> was an avid collector of fine cloth, with which she made all of her day to day working attire, a fact that was no doubt attributable to instilling in me a mindset attuned to exploring <strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/michael.grove.98/media_set?set=a.1017384561623128&type=3" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Art of the Possible</a></strong>.<br/><br/></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><span><strong>Jan van Eyck was a <em>master of rendering perspective</em></strong>.
