<p><em>We have a "<strong>representative democracy</strong>" By definition politicians can do what they like as long as they think it is in your interest. The system allows them to decide what is good for you.</em></p>
<p><em>Conservative, Labour, Liberal, UKIP, BNP, Greens, they will all be able to break their promises once elected. Look at the system not the party. This is why we are still in the EU, no matter who gets in, because it is "good for us"</em></p>

<p><strong>HOW RIGHT</strong> he <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>IS</strong></span> and whenever we, as the <em>voting</em> people, challenge the politicians ACTIONS in this respect, don't they really like to rub our noses into the mud reminding us of this reality.</p>
