safe. But for what I call the evolutionary impulse—the energy and intelligence that gave rise to the universe and is animating our bodies, minds, and personalities in this very moment—that is a description of spiritual stagnation. When you awaken to the dynamism of that creative impulse in yourself, the only place you will feel truly comfortable is at the very edge of the leading edge—where, in every moment, everything is possible and new potentials continually emerge.
Evolutionary Enlightenment is a spiritual path and practice that allows you to live on that edge — it creates the conditions within yourself for something new to emerge that has never existed before.

evolution when you begin to care more about the process as a whole than you care about your ego's fears, desires, or concerns. And it represents the essential shift of identity that this teaching rests on: the SHIFT from the ego to the Authentic Self. When this occurs, your very motive for pursuing enlightenment evolves from one that is fundamentally self-centered to one that is focused upon the evolution of consciousness itself.

character, and still be bold and brave enough to be willing to take responsibility for all of this.
If you do, then the power of spirit will enter into your heart, your body, and your mind and you will begin to express That, in spite of all your imperfection. And then you, as a human being, don't have to be perfect, because Spirit already is.

lightened person, the mere act of paying attention won't really help you be more awake. It will just end up being the ego watching itself, which is like looking in the mirror. There are many different forms of spiritual practice that can help us to cultivate awareness, focus, and attention. But ONLY if we want to evolve beyond ego will paying attention have the power to shatter the ever-selective mirror of pride, narcissism, and self-concern. Andrew Cohen .…
ocess that gave rise to the vast matter and energy that created galaxies, planets, and stars. That process created the conditions that made it possible for biological life to emerge around four billion years ago. And then, from biological life, 200,000 years ago mind burst forth as the dramatic beginning of human consciousness and culture. Now, the energy and intelligence that initiated that process and has been driving it all along is dependent upon you and me. For the human being who begins to realize this, the implications on a personal level are profound and overwhelming. Indeed, our responsibility for where evolution is going, at the level of our shared culture, is much bigger than most of us are aware of.

fact is potentially life-transforming, but it's also hard to grasp at a deep level. The process that created us is moving. We tend to see the world around us as static. But it's not. It's going somewhere. We're going somewhere. Awakening to this truth about all of manifestation changes the way we see the world around us and our place in it. The biggest and most important part of this awakening is that we discover our power to affect where the process that created us is going. We realize the ultimate reason for our own existence: to be a spiritual hero, to boldly take responsibility for the future of the process itself.

the 21st Century, we can look back and see where we all came from, which is no-thing whatsoever. God or absolute Spirit must have wanted to do something after doing absolutely no-thing whatsoever for eternity. That's why, when we experience the creative impulse in the universe vibrating and pulsating in our bodies and minds, we experience a powerful sense of purposefulness. When you awaken to evolution, you awaken to a profound sense of directionality that is inherent in the life force, that is inherent in existence itself. At the lower levels, the purpose of existence is to survive. At the highest levels, the purpose of existence is to create. God or Spirit as manifestation is the felt desire to create and give rise to that which has never existed before.
